The Opportunity
Southwest Cheese is seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Team Lead to join our team.
This pivotal role involves overseeing the cheese plant’s operations and leading our dedicated crew to achieve excellence in production, quality, and safety.
This permanent position will report to the Warehouse Manager and key responsibilities include but are not limited to; Manage the total operation of the shift, ensuring strict adherence to the production schedule.
Conduct daily crew meetings to discuss safety, quality, and production issues.
Perform inventory checks and maintain accurate records in our systems.
Uphold Good Manufacturing Practices and troubleshoot machinery problems.
Generate KPI reports and address quality concerns effectively.
Oversee the hiring and training of new employees, fostering a positive work environment and promoting team development.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and embody the culture of Southwest Cheese’s non-negotiables.
The Skills you will bring to the team Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Proven ability to operate or learn to operate warehouse equipment.
Excellent attendance and commitment to safety.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in math and computer applications.
Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, HACCP, and safety practices.

Where and how you will work
The opportunity will be based in Clovis, NM.
Shifts are on a rotation every three months and is a 12-hour shift.
