Position Overview
Position Summary: The College of Education and Technology at Eastern New Mexico University seeks candidates for a fulltime position as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Counseling to teach 12 credit hours (Fall/Spring; summer optional) of graduate courses in Counseling.
The position provides the successful applicant the opportunity to teach counseling courses using distant ed technologies, mentorship and advise students in the counseling program, and join a dynamic and engaged faculty.
This is a residential appointment and campus presence is required.

required in Counselor Education or related field (ABD will be considered) and a minimum of three years of experience as a clinical counselor (or equivalent) experience is a plus Hold an independent license in counseling and be eligible for professional practice in New Mexico or be able to obtain a NM license School counseling experience preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Distance education learning platforms, clinical counseling, supervision of practicums and internships, teaching skills, advising students, and student organizations Candidates must have the ability to work well in a collegial setting and willingness to teach using traditional and distance education (online and other) technologies Working Conditions Physical Demand and Working Conditions: Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
