PRN Day Shift CNA

Cares for acute care patients in a hopsital setting under the direction of both the nursing and medical staff within their scope of practice as an aide and as delegated by the Director of Nursing and medical staff.
*Education and/or Experience* High School diploma or equivalent CNA certificate from an accredited CNA program, or six to twelve months related experience.
Previous experience required *Certifications* Certified Nurse Aide BLS/CPR *Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Including but not limited to: · Respond promptly to the needs of the patients · Take, record and report abnormal temperatures, blood pressures, pules, respirations and pulse oximetry.
· Take and record height and weight of patient on the EHR.
· Respond to fire drill or alarm as instructed and practiced.
· Assist LVN, RN, and Medical Staff within scope of practice.
· Record patient information on EHR · Follows policies and procedures and performs only those procedures allowed per Cochran Memorial Hospital.
· Work in conjunction with licensed nurse to ensure safeguards are in place to prevent errors (e.
g.
co-signing of medications) · Observe patient for and report any adverse reaction to medication or treatment to Charge Nurse · Maintain supplies, including stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired supplies.
Pay: From $10.
