Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret specifications, plans and resource documents to determine requirements and planning procedures as outlined in the RFP
* Develop and implement Quality Control plan
* Maintain current records providing factual evidence that required quality control activities and tests have been performed
* Complete all reports and records in an accurate and timely manner
* Document and update appropriate logs
* Conduct, attend and participate in project meetings
* Coordinate Three Phase of Control plan Preparatory, Initial and Final Phases
* Maintain quality control by frequent and regular inspection of work and work-in-progress
* Maintain an orderly and clean presence on the jobsite
* Complete job close-out procedures
* Able to work in Quality Control System (QCS)/ USACE Resident Management System (RMS 3.
0)
Skill requirements:
* Four year degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction or Building Science preferred
* Five (5) years of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager or Project Engineer on a similar size and type of construction contract
* Quality certification
* Design/Build experience is a plus
* Rock Scaling experience is a plus
* Experience on USACE or Federal projects preferred.
* Horizontal projects over 5M preferred
* Working knowledge of field construction including systems, practices, general engineering principals and construction techniques, materials, methods and sequencing
* Familiarity with requirements of USACE EM 385-1-1
* Detailed experience with quality control for civil and earthwork
* Experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance
