*SUMMARY*
A therapist’s main responsibility is to provide the necessary care and support to help patients resolve and manage issues in their lives.
Providing individual, family, couples counseling on a wide array of mental health and substance use issues.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Conducting initial consultations to gather patient information
* Assessing patients’ emotional and mental health and developing treatment plans to meet them
* Asking questions and listening to help patients explore their thoughts and feelings
* Leading patients through mental exercises and role-playing activities when beneficial
* Providing scheduled therapy, walk in crisis, and crisis support via phone related to mental health and substance use diagnoses and challenges.
* Providing referrals for additional care or services when required
* Maintaining detailed confidential records in accordance with agency policies and complete required outcomes protocols.
* Participate in agency meetings, training, and in-services.
* Other duties as assigned.
* Provide crisis intervention services in person or by telephone to police, school and hospital personnel, and community residents dealing with crisis situations.
This includes referrals as well as diagnostic assessment and crisis intervention treatment.
*QUALIFICATIONS*

*EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE*
* Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related degree.
* Licensed within the State of New Mexico with LLCSW, LPCC, LMSW, LMHC, or LMFT
* Experience with provision of crisis intervention, assessment, and diagnosis.

Demonstrated Competencies:
* Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with consumers, referrals sources, and other community providers is absolutely essential.
* Ability to relate to a diverse population
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*LANGUAGE*
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.
*OTHER*

Pay: $60,000.
